Hybrid Program | Surgical Technology

Providing quality patient care starts well before patients enter the operating room. Learn how to properly care for patients before, during, and after their surgeries with our hybrid Surgical Technology program! By engaging in our immersive mock operating rooms, you&/programs/surgical-technology/8217;ll cultivate essential cognitive knowledge and psychomotor skills, enhancing your confidence before beginning clinical rotations. Over the course of 18 months, our program prepares students to assist surgeons during various surgical procedures and equips you for the Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification exam.

When you earn your Associate of Applied Science degree with CBD College, you can:

What You Will Do as a Surgical Technologist

Surgical Technologists are critical members of a highly skilled and respected surgical team that includes physicians and surgeons. As a Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for many essential tasks, including preparing the operating room and ensuring all surgical instruments are sterile and ready for use. Additionally, you鈥檒l assist surgeons during surgical procedures, anticipating their needs to help the operation run smoothly.

With your training in technology and surgical assisting, you&/programs/surgical-technology/8217;ll play a vital role in patient care. Our program helps prepare students with both the cognitive knowledge and psychomotor skills needed to excel in this fast-paced environment. You&/programs/surgical-technology/8217;ll also be equipped to meet the standards set by the Commission on Accreditation, ensuring that you are ready to pursue certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
